Hot tapping
Hot tapping involves drilling pipes, tanks, installations, etc. that are under pressure. This means a branch or flange can be installed without shutting down the relevant installation.
We can drill both liquid and gas transport pipes. Because our hot tapping machines are completely isolated, none of your product will escape into the environment.
De Vin-Pass uses hot tapping machines with a drilling capacity up to 24" (NW 600) that are suitable for pressures up to max. 80 bar at 20ºC. The holes are drilled using special cutters with a centre drill. The centre drill has a mechanism that attaches to the coupon and removes it from the pipe.
